Ray Cooney’s Out of Order to be staged at Crown Wharf Theatre next month

A fast-paced comedy is coming to Stone next month as local theatre company Stone Revellers present Out of Order at the Crown Wharf Theatre from 10–13 June.

Ray Cooney’s Out of Order to be staged at Crown Wharf Theatre next month

Written by the “Master of Farce” Ray Cooney, this Olivier Award-winning play
follows a chaotic evening in a Westminster hotel, where Tory Junior Minister
Richard Willey attempts to meet one of the Opposition’s secretaries – only for
events to spiral out of control when they discover a body trapped in a sash window.

With the help of his well-meaning but hapless private secretary George, Willey’s
situation quickly unravels, with interruptions from hotel staff, spouses and a disgruntled nurse adding to the confusion.

The production is being staged by Stone Revellers, one of the area’s longest-established theatre companies, and features a cast and crew drawn from across the local community.

Rob Stanway, Chairman of Stone Revellers, said:

“We’re really excited to bring this show to Crown Wharf. It’s a genuinely laugh-out-loud comedy and a brilliant night out for audiences.”
“We’ve got a fantastic team working on this production and it’s already shaping up to be something special.”

The Crown Wharf Theatre, located in the heart of Stone, continues to build a
reputation for high-quality local productions.

Out of Order runs for four performances from 10–13 June 2026, with shows
starting at 7:30pm each evening.

Tickets are priced at £16 for adults and £14 for concessions, and are available via the Crown Wharf Theatre website: www.crownwharftheatre.org.uk

This amateur production of OUT OF ORDER is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French, Ltd.
