With glorious sunshine across both days, the showground was busy from morning until evening, with huge crowds exploring the many attractions, displays, competitions and trade stands spread across the site.

The livestock sections once again proved hugely popular, with a fantastic turnout of cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and other animals taking part in competitions and showing classes throughout the event. The standard of presentation was incredibly high, with animals impeccably groomed and handlers proudly showcasing months of hard work and dedication.

One of the standout moments of the show was the grand parade of prize-winning cattle and magnificent heavy horses, which drew large crowds around the main ring. The sight of the winning animals proudly making their way through the arena was a real celebration of Staffordshire’s farming community and agricultural heritage.

Elsewhere around the showground, visitors packed into the arena displays throughout the day. The BOLDDOG LINGS FMX Team delivered a thrilling performance packed with jumps, tricks and high-speed action that had crowds cheering in the sunshine.

The dog displays were another huge hit with families, with talented dogs tackling obstacle courses, performing tricks and even leaping through fire to the amazement of spectators gathered around the arena.

Away from the main arenas, there were countless stalls and exhibits to explore. From handmade gifts and artisan products to country clothing, crafts, homeware, gardening items and local produce, the shopping areas were busy throughout both days with visitors browsing and buying from traders across the region.

Traditional craft displays offered a glimpse into countryside skills and heritage trades, while farming contractors, machinery companies, vehicle sales stands, auctioneers, community organisations, schools and colleges all showcased their work and services to visitors.

The farrier competition drew plenty of attention despite the intense heat, with competitors working in challenging temperatures to demonstrate their blacksmithing and horseshoe skills in front of fascinated crowds.

Families also queued throughout the day for rides on the ever-popular steam train, which remained busy from morning until evening as children and adults alike enjoyed a trip around the showground.

Across every corner of the event there was a strong atmosphere of community, celebration and pride in Staffordshire’s rural traditions. The Staffordshire County Show continues to be one of the county’s biggest and most loved annual events, bringing together farming, countryside life and family entertainment in a way few other events can.

Judging by the crowds this year, it remains a date firmly marked in many people’s calendars.

If you have never been before, it is certainly one not to miss in 2027.
