Following the success of last year’s Big Swim, Dougie Mac is once again asking people to sign up for this year’s event and help raise vital funds for the hospice.

The event - supported by Fenton Manor and Active Stoke - is taking place throughout July and August with supporters being urged to decide their own distance or choose either 16, 32, 60, 100 or 200 lengths at a pool of their choice and at their own pace. Alternatively, participants can choose to join other Dougie Mac swimmers in our Big Swim Event Day on Saturday, July 18.

Deborah Vickers, Head of Business and Events Fundraising, said:

“Just like last year, we are hoping this will be a really popular challenge for swimmers of all abilities. Our fundraising events and challenges are not only good fun, they also play a vital role in helping us to raise the money we need to continue our care and support services for local children, young adults and adults. So, no matter how far you swim and how much you raise, you’ll be making a real difference to people in our local community.”
