Stafford Borough Council has boosted their squad after recruiting a new football pitch line marking machine.
The new piece of equipment, affectionately known as ‘Linel,’ has been introduced to speed up the marking out of football pitches in the borough.
The move will also benefit the community as it will free up staff to carry out other tasks such as tidying up play areas, litter picking and emptying bins - while Linel carries out the line painting work.
The battery powered machine will only take around 20 minutes to complete the markings and will be used on all the 16 adult and junior pitches across the borough managed by the local authority.
But unlike its much-heralded footballing namesake, this Linel uses the latest SatNav technology to get the job done.
