Shaping the Future of The Staffordshire Signal: Have Your Say

As a non-profit, we don’t answer to corporate shareholders, we answer to you. Help us choose our next big investigations and projects for 2026.

The Staffordshire Signal was founded on a simple belief: our county deserves a newsroom that belongs to the people, not a distant corporate boardroom.

As a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), we are funded by local businesses and the community, and we operate on the principle of People Over Profits. This means that as we grow, we don't guess what matters to the residents of Stoke-on-Trent, the Moorlands, and the wider county, we ask.

We are currently at an exciting crossroads. As we plan our next big moves for 2026, including deep-dive investigative reporting and the launch of our new video newsroom, we are opening our doors for a community consultation.

Have Your Say

Whether you have been a supporter from day one or have only just joined the journey, your voice is the engine that drives this newsroom. We want to know what is working, what needs to change, and where we should be shining a light next.

Why your input matters:

  • Setting the Agenda: Your feedback helps us choose which local issues to investigate and how.
  • Improving the Experience: Tell us what you want more (or less) of in our print and digital editions.
  • Staying Independent: Community input ensures we stay accountable to you, not to corporate advertisers or "big media" clickbait.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping to prove that honest, community-led journalism has a permanent home here in Staffordshire.
