A housebuilder is helping two charities in their missions to support and educate young people.
Redrow Midlands, which is building at Amington Garden Village in Tamworth, has donated £1,500 to both Kibblestone District Scout Council and the Sensory People charity.
The funding will go towards improving the water infrastructure of the Kibblestone campsite and activity centre, as water for the site largely comes from its own bore hole and can therefore be very weak at peak times. By installing a local tank, the team will be able to enhance the customer experience and reduce maintenance issues.
Chris Belyavin, fundraising support worker at Kibblestone District Scout Council, said:
“Projects like this may not be glamorous but they make a real difference to the customer experience and the efficiency of operations.

At Sensory People, the donation will be used to fit out the equipment for its new sensory integration therapy centre in Romsley. This includes swings, mats and equipment that aid a range of movement, therapeutically assist in a child’s ability to regulate their behaviour and improve their earning outcomes.
Marion Rogerson, founder and lead therapist at Sensory People, said:
“When we move into our new centre, we will be able to double our one-to-one Ayres Sensory Integration therapy offering and support more families of children and young people who have debilitating sensory processing challenges.
“We are very grateful to receive funding for this provision from Redrow Midlands.”
The donations came from Redrow Midlands’s community fund provided by the Barratt Redrow Foundation.
Since its launch, the charitable arm of the housebuilder has donated more than £20 million to charities and good causes across the UK and supported the growth of charitable giving, volunteering and fundraising across the company.
