A care home in Tamworth has been named one of the best in the West Midlands by the UK’s leading care home review website.
The website, carehome.co.uk, announces the winners of the Care Home Awards annually, which recognises the top-rated homes and Care UK’s Arkall Manor has been listed in the top 20 in the West Midlands.
The prestigious awards honour homes that have received outstanding reviews in the past year from those who matter most: residents, service users and their families and friends.
"I moved my father from another home in Lichfield to Arkall Manor in September 2024. Since moving in, he has improved considerably, he eats properly, he has people to socialise with, and he is cared for with kindness and respect. The home is absolutely beautiful, the staff are amazing and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arkall Manor to anyone considering temporary or long-term care."

From the moment you walk in it's obvious that every member of staff, not just the care team, is invested and involved in the welfare and care of the residents and every single member of staff is professional, friendly, polite, attentive, responsive, happy, engaging, and helpful. The sunny patio and garden areas are lovely, the bedrooms are beautiful, the communal areas are safe, light, happy, tidy, beautifully presented and relaxing or sociable spaces. The entertainment staff are amazing, with a varied weekly programme and something for everyone. Joining mum for lunch is a treat (at no cost) and so is the free tea/coffee and amazing cakes for visitors! We moved mum here from another care home and could not believe that care as good as this existed. Thank you to all the sparkling Arkall Manor staff!”
The Ashby Road home is known for its commitment to enabling residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. Arkall Manor provides daily group and one-to-one activities, as well as a weekly Cake and Coffee event.
