Taking place from 9am to 3pm, the event brings together 15 businesses from across the county, giving visitors the chance to meet local makers, discover independent brands and shop for locally made products.
Delivered in partnership with Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, We Are Staffordshire’s Made in Staffordshire programme and Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s Markets team, the showcase will feature art, jewellery, pottery, crafts, food and drink. Visiting businesses will trade alongside regular market traders, including Darren Taylor Plants.
Taking place during October half term, the market offers families an opportunity to enjoy a day out in Newcastle-under-Lyme, with a free Halloween craft workshop for younger visitors. Families can make a day of it by exploring the stalls, discovering the town’s independent shops and stopping for a bite to eat at a local café or restaurant.
Made in Staffordshire champions businesses that design, create and produce in the county, helping shoppers discover the talent on their doorstep while supporting local enterprise.

Charl Pearce, Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, said:
“We’ve heard through feedback how much people value variety in Newcastle’s markets, including opportunities to buy locally sourced produce and discover something different. This event brings those things together, showcasing Staffordshire talent alongside the familiar faces of our regular market traders.
“Made in Staffordshire is a great initiative that shines a light on the people behind the products and the creativity we have right here in our county. We’re delighted to welcome these businesses to Newcastle, giving visitors more to explore while encouraging them to enjoy our town centre’s shops, cafés and other businesses too.”
Ailsa Nicol, Made in Staffordshire Programme Lead, said:
“Partnerships like those with Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and the Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council market are invaluable. They allow us to bring Made in Staffordshire businesses directly into the heart of our communities, creating opportunities to connect with new customers, support local businesses to reach new audiences, and contribute to vibrant town centre experiences for residents and visitors alike. By working together, we can showcase the breadth of talent, products and services available across Staffordshire while helping to strengthen our local economy and high streets.”
Businesses attending include Joan Kennedy Artist, Aspro Studios, Chuckle Engine Spirit Company, Deb’s Pottery Shack, Little Barn Willow, Wools by Jools, Juice & Brew Got Canned, From the Beehive Ltd, Aura & Ash, Grove Estate Vineyard, Ellina Pollitt Jewellery, Stoke Glass and Willow, Rainbow Craft, The Staffordshire Oatcake Company and Garry Wood Crafts UK.
Visitors are invited to explore the stalls, meet the makers and support local businesses at the Made in Staffordshire takeover on the Stones, Newcastle-under-Lyme, on Wednesday 28th October 2026, from 9am to 3pm.
Why the Signal exists
Real news takes time. Thanks for taking yours.
You've just read a story that took time to get right. No clickbait, no racing to be first, no ads chasing you down the page.
I started The Staffordshire Signal because I got fed up of local news that chased clicks instead of stories. We're independent, not-for-profit, IMPRESS-regulated and owned right here, so we answer to nobody but you.
The honest bit: local news only survives if local people choose it. If we don't, it goes.
