Internationally exhibited artist Simmi Sandhu, who has been interviewed twice on BBC Radio about her art, returns to Great Wood Community Hall in Tean, Staffordshire, on 21 September 2026 with *The Divine Feminine: An Immersive Art & Wellbeing Experience*: a week-long solo exhibition celebrating womanhood, motherhood, identity, intuition and creative connection.

Following the success of her previous Mother's Day exhibition at Great Wood Hall, Sandhu returns with her most ambitious exhibition at the venue to date.

More than a traditional exhibition, *The Divine Feminine* invites visitors into an evolving creative space where art is not simply observed, but experienced. Through painting, projection, live creative practice and opportunities for participation, the exhibition explores the many facets of the feminine experience, from motherhood and body confidence to intuition, transformation and togetherness.

The exhibition will feature a curated selection of Sandhu's work, including pieces from her **Mother Moon** series, celestial and planetary works, semi-abstract florals, symbolic and pop-art pieces, and angel wing and Divine Feminine-inspired imagery.

At the heart of the experience will be an immersive projection installation featuring imagery from Sandhu’s body-confidence and Midlife Awakening work, layered with positive words, affirmations and symbolic text. Visitors will have the opportunity to step inside the projection, with the imagery and affirmations becoming part of the space around them and, where possible, projected onto their bodies. They can have their photograph taken as part of the installation, creating a personal visual record in which they become part of the artwork and the messages of body positivity, self-expression and feminine strength.

Throughout the exhibition, Sandhu will also work live within the space, allowing visitors to witness her creative process as it unfolds. The community will also have opportunities to contribute to a special collaborative artwork through creative mark-making, creating a shared piece celebrating connection and collective creativity.

An artist talk, **“Reclaiming the Moon: Feminine Power Beyond the Myth,”** will draw inspiration from Sandhu's 50-day **Mother Moon** painting challenge. Created over 50 consecutive days, the collection explored five themes: fertility struggles; IVF; adoption and the many ways family can be created and found through love; mothers who are no longer with us; and a celebration of mothers in their entirety.

A small selection of works from the remaining collection will be exhibited as part of *The Divine Feminine*. The talk will explore how the **Mother Moon** challenge became a creative journey through fertility, hope, loss and motherhood, while reclaiming the moon as a symbol of creation, transformation, intuition and connection.

The exhibition will also feature a reading from Sandhu's forthcoming book, ***You Are A Mother In The Making: How to Get Pregnant in Your 40s When You're Struggling with Fertility***.

Drawing on her own experience of becoming pregnant at 40 and becoming a mother at 41, the forthcoming book explores fertility, resilience and hope, offering insight into the deeply personal experiences that have also informed Sandhu's creative practice.

Alongside the exhibition, selected interactive and Divine Feminine wellbeing experiences will offer further opportunities for visitors to connect with the themes of the project.

Sandhu has developed a distinctive creative practice exploring motherhood, identity, transformation and self-expression. Alongside her independent practice, she also works with local community arts organisations, bringing art and creative experiences to a wide range of communities.

Speaking about the exhibition, Sandhu said:

> “I wanted to create something that feels celebratory and alive, a space where we can appreciate motherhood and the feminine experience, reconnect with ourselves, and come together through art.
>
> “The Divine Feminine means different things to different people. For me, this exhibition is about creating space for intuition, strength, nurture, creativity, transformation and connection. I want people to feel something when they enter the space, but also to feel that they can become part of it.”

### The Divine Feminine: An Immersive Art & Wellbeing Experience opens at **Great Wood Community Hall in Tean, Staffordshire, on 21 September 2026** and runs for one week.

Further programme and event details will be announced soon.
